Summer 2023 is officially underway, and there’s so much going on in Towson! We’re excited to bring you a round-up of the can’t-miss events happening this summer. Feel free to refer back to this list often to find things to do in Towson MD today!
First up is the Towsontown Spring Festival, happening Saturday, May 6 & Sunday, May 7. Now in it’s 54th year, the festival is one you don’t want to miss! The festival will include carousels, roller coasters, flying scooters, spinning rides, and more. Two beer gardens will be located in the center of the festival. The Towsontown Spring Festival brings your favorite festival food to Towson. This year’s festival features some of the area’s best gourmet food trucks! If you are a thrill-seeker, cotton candy eater, music lover, or just a Baltimore explorer, this is your kind of festival.
Since May = Mother’s Day, The Point in Towson will be hosting a Mother’s Day event on Friday, May 12. Your ticket includes dinner, drinks, and a fun moms-related trivia game. It’s the perfect thing to do in Towson MD this weekend!
The Charles Village Pub & Patio Towson and The Hope Foundation are hosting a “Caring For K9’s” charity event on Friday, May 12 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The event will feature a “battle of the guest bartenders,” raffles, a silent auction, food, drinks, and a wonderful night for a meaningful charity.
Are you a Marvel fan? This is for you! The Rec Room in Towson is hosting a Marvel-themed Trivia Brunch on Sunday, May 21. They also host a Trivia Night each Tuesday at 7 p.m. and a Bingo Night each Wednesday.
Jimmy’s Sea Food in Baltimore is hosting two Crab Feasts. Their events are family-friendly, aiming to unite Orioles sports fans through baseball, food, and cocktails. The Crab Feasts will take place May 21st and June 24th. And on July 26th, the seafood restaurant is hosting a “Birds Bus Trip to Philly.” There are so many things to do around Towson, MD!
Do you like to shop local? Then you’ll love the Towson Farmers Market, opening up for the season on June 1st. The market is open from 10:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and brings organic, locally grown foods and hand-crafted products to the Towson community. The market is located on Allegheny and Washington Avenues. If you’d like to take a look around, it’s a great option for free things to do in Towson.
Your search for things to do near Towson MD is over, because Feet on the Street is back for 2023! Head out to Allegheny Avenue and experience great music and a great community. The summer concerts feature local cover bands and electric energy.
Feet on the Street also features a bar with a variety of beers, wine, and cocktails. Bring your friends and family for a fabulous Friday night!

And of course, Towson celebrates the 4th of July! The 4th of July Parade and Race will be held, you guessed it, on July 4th! This definitely makes the list of Baltimore’s best events Towson MD!
